Continuando meus posts sobre minha escola, hoje é dia de falar da primeira aula e dos professores
Vamos lá =)
PRIMEIRO DIA
No seu primeiro dia de aula você ficará bastante perdido. (Pois eu pelo menos nunca tinha visto gente de tantos lugares diferentes em um mesmo lugar =p). Bom, você vai chegar, fazer um teste de conversação (que é só pra pessoa ter uma base do que você sabe e isso é super simples) e nesse momento você já começa a fazer amigos, pois o teste é de 3 em 3 pessoas, então você ja conhece 2 pessoas. Depois vocês fazem um tour para conhecer a escola (mais um momento de conhecer gente). E por útimo você vai para a biblioteca onde terá a orientação e o teste escrito. E foi ai que fiz meus primeiros amigos que converso até hoje, pois você tem que ficar nas mesas esperando a prova começar, ai sempre tem um que puxa conversa. Ou seja, logo no primeiro dia você ja pode conhecer um monte de gente.
Na orientação eles iram explicar as regras da escola, um pouco sobre a cidade e apresentar os representantes de cada país (O representante de seu país fala sua língua e será muito útil quando você não conseguir tirar suas dúvidas em inglês ou tiver qualquer tipo de problema). Depois é hora da prova, você terá 30 minutos para responder questões de multipla escolha (sério, não se preocupe com isso, eles só querem saber onde te colocar para que você possa aproveitar ao máximo seus estudos).

PROFESSORES
Em meus três meses na ILAC eu nunca tive um professor ruim, todos eles são super bonzinhos e entusiasmados para te ensinar. OS PROFESSORES NÃO FALAM SUA LINGUA, porque a maioria deles falam inglês como sua língua nativa e não sabem língua so seu país. Portanto, eles só podem te ensinar inglês em inglês.
Como o professor não sabe sua língua, ele não tem como traduzir as frases ou algumas palavras que você não entendeu, então você vai precisar entender o significado sozinho. Mas o professor e seus colegas de classe sempre vão te ajudar, eles vão te dar um monte de exemplos em frases, mostrar fotos, desenhar, fazer gestos, te dar sinônimos… tudo o que for possível até você entender.
Na aula você não pode falar sua própria língua, só inglês, mesmo quando tem outras pessoas do seu país. Por que isso? Vou te dar três razões simples: 1) Você tá lá pra aprender inglês (só essa já é uma razão MUITO boa). 2) Imagine pessoas conversando em sua língua nativa e você ouve seu nome? Você não sabe se eles estão falando de você ou se é somente uma palavra na língua deles. 3) Como você pode começar a conversar com alguém, para fazer novos amigos, se ele está sempre falando algo que você não entende?

Continuing my posts about my school, today I will talk about my first class and the teachers
Let’s go =)
In the first day in the school you probably will be a little confused. (At least I never had seen too much people from different countries at the same place =p) Well, you will arrive and do a conversation test, that actually is only to the school to know how much English you already know and it is really easy. At this time you start to make friends because the test is made with 3 people at a time, then you meet 2 people. After you do a guided tour to know the school (one more moment to meet people). And finally you go to the library, where you will have the orientation and the write/read test. At the library I made my firsts friends, who I talk until today, ‘cause you need to wait the test to start, and always have someone that will start a conversation. In other words, in the first day you meet a lot of people.
In the orientation, they will explain the school’s rules, a little bit about the city and show the representatives from each country (the representative from your country will be able to talk the native language from the country that he/she represents, and they are so much useful when you can’t solve a problem in English or have any kind of problem).
After it is the test time, you will have 30 minutes to answer the multiple-choice questions (and you don’t need to worry about the test, cuz they just want to know where is the best class for you and you enjoy better your course).
In the next day you will get the result, to buy your book and #LetsToLearnEnglish
TEACHERS
In my three months in ILAC, I never got a bad teacher, all teachers are so kind and excited to teach you. THE TEACHERS DON’T SPEAK YOUR LANGUAGE, because most them are native English speaker and don’t know your language. So, they only can teach English in English.
Because the teacher don’t know your language, he/her can’t translate the sentences or some words to you, then you need understand the meaning by yourself. But the teacher and your classmates always will help you, they will give a lot of examples in sentences, to show pictures, to draw, to make gestures, to give synonymous… all that is possible until you understand.
In the class you can’t talk in your native language, just in English, even when are others people from your country. Why this? It has three simple reasons: 1) You are there to learn English. 2) Imagine other people talking in their native language and you listen your name? You don’t know if they are talking about you or if it is just a word in their language. 3) How can you start to talk with a group, to make new friends, if they are talking something that you can’t understand?
